Apr 16, 2018CollinsMULLINS -- Mr. Malcolm Hagood Collins, 88, widower of Dorothy "Dot" Odom Collins died Friday, April 13, 2018 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence after an illness.Mr. Collins, who dearly loved his family, was born February 6, 1930 in Marion County, a son of the late Rupert and late Nona Rogers Collins. He was the owner and operator of Malcolm's Service Center, from 1967 until the present. Mr. Collins was an avid fisherman. He was a member of Mullins First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Sunshine Sunday School Class. Surviving Mr. Collins are: his Children: Linda C. (Jim) Drew of Mullins, Mike H. (Faye) Collins of Mullins and Steve O. (Karen) Collins of Florence; his Grandchildren: J. Burke (Laura) Drew, Joshua (Becky) Collins, Allison (Brian) Bretzius, Carrie Collins. Jeremy (Kendra) Collins, Spencer (Alexis) Collins and Tyler Collins; and 12 Great Grandchildren.Mr. Collins was predeceased by a brother, Ed Collins and 2 sisters, Eloise Elliott and Anna Margaret Herring.The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, April 16, from 2:30 until 4:00 P.M. in the Mullins First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.Funeral services will follow at 4:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary of Mullins First Baptist Church, with Rev. Chadwick Ivester officiating.
